Starkbierfest

Starkbierfest means "strong beer festival." This takes place every year during Lent, so the dates fluctuate. It’s always the third Thursday after Ash Wednesday. The first day, Thursday,  is “Derbleckn” and isn’t open to the general public. The Fest runs for the next three consecutive weekends.Primary sites include Paulaner am Nockherberg, Löwenbräukeller and Augustinerkeller. German beer named with the suffix -ator all belong to this family of beer. This is my favorite festival since it's more focused on the locals.
