“Mr. Monopoly” flirts with “Lady Mustard”

US Americans love Bavaria, the castles, the beer, the Oktoberfest and the sweet Händlmaier mustard from Regensburg. Recently 14 members of the 2006-founded-American-Händlmaier-Mustard-Club-from-Cincinnati (235 Members) were here. The fans, with Chuck Dietz at the point, began an extensive tour including a pilgrimage to the Mecca of sweet mustard. The group visited the mustard factory in Haselbach and enjoyed an ample Weisswurst Breakfast in the Hofbräuhaus Regensburg – afterwards visiting the Händlmaier store in Unteren Bachgasse Street. Here the boys and girls were served snacks and sauces by shopkeeper Dagmar Mehrl – along in the troop was “Mr. Monopoly,” Chuck Long. The 66-year-old with the white mustache and the sunny disposition is a member of the fan club. And he is to be seen on every one of the million sold Monopoly games. Since “Mr. Monopoly” earlier worked for the company who produced the game, he lent his stylized face for every Monopoly cover. Quite charmingly, he complimented Ms. Mehrl (the shopokeeper) and flirted with “Lady Mustard.” This title is allowed only to Christa Aumer! Namely, she is a born Händlmaier and watches over the strongly guarded sweet mustard recipe in the vault.
